Pharmacological effect: Aricept is a medicine which contains donepezil. This substance increases the activity of nerve cells. It avoids the crack of the acetylcholine. The small levels of acetylcholine cause troubles with memory.
Usage: Aricept is used in medication of moderate dementia. This illness is provoked by Alzheimer’s disease. It increases memory, perception and the capacity of work.
Aftereffect: Normal adverse reactions are: diarrhea, decreased appetite, sickness of stomach, vomiting, weakness and difficulties in sleeping. Abnormal effects are: unusual dreams, constipation, giddiness, faint, rife urination, headache, depression, joint ache, weight disorders and bleeding.
How to administer (optionally): Take the drug by mouth with a glass of water. Take it once a day before sleep. The start dose is 5mg for one month therapy. Than the dose may be increased till 10mg/day.
