Pharmacological effect: Coumadin contains warfarin sodium. It is an anticoagulant medication. This drug prevents the formation of clots. Coumadin eases blood’s flow.
Usage: Coumadin is used in therapy of blood clots in arteries and veins. It avoids the happening of strokes, heart attacks, atrial fibrillation. This drug lowers the need of heart valve replacement and surgeries.
Aftereffect: Call the doctor if you have the following adverse reactions: bloody urine, dull vision, chest discomfort, confusion, bloody stools, headache, vaginal bleeding, giddiness, cough with blood, paralysis, bleeding nose, loss of the skin, sweating, weakness and unusual swelling.
How to administer (optionally): Take one tablet per day regardless to food. The duration of therapy is usually up to 3 months long.
