Pharmacological effect: Serophene is a medicine for fertility. It is relating to the non-steroidal group. The drug stimulates the work of hormones necessary for ovulation. Serophene is not habit forming. It excites the ovaries to make follicle growth. Then an egg may be freed at mid-cycle.
Usage: This medicine treats the infertility in women. When the ovulation does not happen, the drug stimulates it. The drug is not recommended for women whose ovaries don’t make eggs anymore. Serophene medicates the polycystic ovary syndrome.
Aftereffect: Some usual reactions to this medicine may be inflate and pelvic or stomach ache. Call the emergency or ask the doctor if you have dull sight, other problems with vision, if you see flickers of light, yellow skin or eyes and if your eyes are too sensitive to light.
How to administer (optionally): The recommended dosage of Serophene is 1 tab per day during 5 days. The doctor may grow the dose if your ovulation doesn’t happen. The maximum dose is 2 tablets (100mg) per day. Take it every day in the same time. Swallow it with a glass of water.
