Pharmacological effect: Glucophage holds a medicine called metformin. This medicine controls the sugar levels in the organism. It is a diabetes medication.

Usage: Glucophage is used with a diet and exercises to treat high blood sugar in people with diabetes II. This medication also prevents kidney problems, nerve troubles, loss of limbs and vision problems.

Aftereffect: Using Glucophage you may encounter adverse reactions. More normal reactions are: cough, abdominal ache, sickness in stomach, diarrhea, fever, chills, sleepiness, painful urination, irregular breathing and muscle pain. Abnormal reactions are: giddiness, nightmares, anxiety, headache, unusual hunger and sweating, nervousness, depression, coma, confusion, chest discomfort, troubled vision, nausea, redness of face and other parts of the body.

How to administer (optionally): Swallow the drug whole with water. Administer it with the last meal of the day. The recommended dosage is one pill once a day.
